Contact Tracking API supports two kinds of events:
- recommended events
- all other events
All events could be used to trigger automations but only the recommended events could be used for segmentation. Please see this page to find out which properties could be used for segmentation.
All events (including recommended events) could have additional custom properties of your choice. For more details on how to send those properties please see the track endpoint.
